Facility provided under OS/2 Presentation Manager, whereby Presentation Manager will dispatch a message of class WM_TIMER to a particular window at specified intervals. This capability may be used by an application to perform a specific processing task at predetermined intervals, without the necessity for the application to explicitly keep track of the passage of time.
