complex viewport
Term used to describe the creation of multiple viewports within the same help window or online document window, with separate formatting and scrolling characteristics. For example, one viewport may contain a bitmap, while another contains supporting text. The text viewport may be scrolled, while the other viewport containing the bitmap remains constant in the window. See also simple viewport.
