xHarbour is a practically 100% backwards compatible Clipper Language compiler and preprocessor, with lots of extensions and enhancements (like native threads, or a full OOP engine just to name a few) that make it one of the most modern xBase language implementation. It is an Open Source project.
Available as of now is beta 1.7 (0.99.7) of xharbour compiler and runtime libraries.
The OS/2 (and eComStation) version is as complete as the win32 one and can be downloaded from:
