This software package provides the most current support for Infrared Stack (IrDA) devices for OS/2. 


The following services are supported by the Infrared Stack: 


Printing to an IR-capable printer 

Serial communication through an IR-capable cell phone (see readme) 

LAN (Ethernet and Token Ring) 

High speed transfer rate 

IrDA Stack drivers are designed to work on the following IBM Thinkpad Models: 


380, 380D, 380E, 380ED, 380XD, 380Z, 385D, 385ED, 385XD, 560E, 560X, 560Z, 600, 600E, 600X, 770, 770E, 770ED, 770X, T20, T21. T22, T23, T30, T40 


To install, download to a temporary directory (for example, xxxx) and in an OS/2 window type: 


cd xxxx 

irda 

ddinstal 

and follow the ddinstal instruction. When complete, reboot the system. 

The most current version of this device driver package is part of the IBM Software Choice offerings.
