QuickCam Viewer for OS/2
========================
Installation:
-------------
Unpack the zip-file and run the install program.
Contents of the zip-files:
readme.txt This file
history.txt History of bug fixes
order.txt Ordering/registration information
install.exe Install program
quickcam.sys Device driver
qv2.exe QuickCam Viewer
qv2.hlp QuickCam Viewer on-line help
qv2hooks.dll Desktop Lockup support
qv2utils.dll (optional - support utilities)
The install will add the device driver to config.sys on the boot drive
and create an icon on the desktop for the QuickCam Viewer, QV2.
This install can also be used to re-create an icon on the
desktop for QV2, existing config.sys entries are left unchanged.
A reboot is required if the device-driver was not previously
installed.
Parallel Port Notes:
--------------------
It is recommended that you set your parallel port to either AT-mode
or EPP-mode for uni-directional or bi-directional modes, respectively.
Bi-directional mode will give at least double the throughput compared
to uni-directional mode. The parallel port is usually set up using the
BIOS setup on your machine at boot time.
Colour and your Desktop:
------------------------
Owing to the many problems in creating a 256-colour picture from a
16Million one, there is a restriction for 256-colour desktops. The
main problem is the time to analyse and process the picture. So for
now there is a restriction that 256-colour desktops will present a
picture using a greyscale.

Problems:
---------
Please send mail to qv2@elad.compulink.co.uk to report any problems
or suggestions for improvements. User suggestions have already lead
to new features being added. If you have an idea for a new variation
of the screen-saver (desktop lockup), let me know.
Thanks.
